... yeah, I was talking about content for the Alexandrian.
I thought the GM Don't List would be a fun little batch of quick, simple GMing advice. As I wrote up GM Don't #2: Rolling to Failure, however, I quickly discovered that what I had actually written was the bulk of Part 6 of the Art of Rulings.
... I have not actually written Parts 2-5 of the Art of Rulings.
So now I'm trying to figure out if I want to just go ahead and post the GM Don't List entry (knowing that some time within the next year I'll be largely repeating all of that as part of the Art of Rulings series). Or if I should focus my attention on doing the Art of Rulings, creating the "master" context that I can then refer back to with the GM Don't List. (Or do I just do the GM Don't List as if that master content existed, providing a very abbreviated version of the advice, and then coming back with links in the future?) Or do I just skip the whole thing and go on to the next entry on my GM Don't List.
Meanwhile, I've had a really cool freelance project (that I'll be able to tell you more about very, very soon hopefully) blossom from "write 3,000 words by the end of the week" to "write 15,000 words by the end of the week". Which is a very different kettle of fish and is burning up pretty much all of time.
Either way, I expect at least a brief hiatus from the GM Don't List. But I think I should have some other content for you to fill at least the rest of this week.
