Character Classes Draft 2.0

Here is the latest working draft of the Secrets of sha-Arthan character classes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eSRMbqSHksOdrRElgUgfpd4E0xbJGmM1/view?usp=sharing

As with previous drafts, this one is a work in progress, though one that is (I hope) a little closer to being final. You will note that there are multiple unexplained changes in this draft, such references to different ability scores (PRE, VIG, WIT, etc.), different saving throw categories, skills, and so forth. All of these will get detailed soon enough, but I wanted to focus on the classes first.

As always, comments are welcome, especially with regards to text that is unclear or incomplete. Mind you, I like a fair degree of creative ambiguity in my rules, so it may be that some lacunae are intentional. Likewise, many aspects of the rules can only really be tested in play.

Comments

I own a copy but I have never played it, so I unfortunately have no real thoughts about it.

This is off topic but what do you think of Qadardalikoi-Miniatures Gaming in the World of Tekumel?

Davy Crocket

The scion is important to me for a number of reasons, not least of which being that I want interacting with the larger society and culture to be every bit as important as exploration of the vaults and similar things. The class is, I hope, an easy entryway into that aspect of the setting.

James Maliszewski

I am glad the Scion is still included in the mix. I think there are sufficient classes for an OSR. Arduin Grimoire is the only early RPG that I know of with a large plurality of classes, most of which where not very distinct from each other.
