Sorcerer Spells -- at last

These are going to need serious playtesting, so please do not consider anything here to be final by any means. Likewise, the text will almost certainly undergo many revisions in response to playtesting.
That said, feel free to offer comments, suggestions, and so forth. I will definitely read them all, but I may not reply to them immediately.
I should also add that the spells in this document are not all the spells that will appear in the setting. Others are esoteric spells limited to members of a particular allegiance.

2021-09-15 11:56:57 +0000 UTCHere is my feedback on the Sorcerer spells proposed: Aegis OK Alacrity OK Bane I would suggest limiting activations (times it can do damage) per day equal to the casters level or the spell will be too powerful Bastion OK Beckon I like this, but is there a limit of arcane marks a Sorcerer can use? Will this become the magical golf caddy of useful things? At what level could a loaded ballista be summoned? Bewilder 2 Surrender (disarm & assume a submissive stance) 3 – 5 Attack caster’s group 6 Attempt parley (still defensive) 7 Stand confused and immobile (flat footed) 8 Flee from caster’s group 9 – 11 Attack subject’s group 12 Flee from subject’s group Channel This would be a powerful combination of fighting ability and magic welding, that would almost guarantee the Sorcerer never got near any fighting . I assume the spell casting of the Sorcerer would be in addition to the target’s actions? This seems very powerful. Conjuration OK Descry Consider increasing range for the specific object. Dispel OK Far-sight OK Fissure Stone or rock? Or any material (wood palisade, belly of a whale, glacis of ice, etc.) Fulmination Does the charged rod have to be discharged within the duration of the spell? Could more than one rod be prepared? Insight Would this work on things disguised by illusions? Insufflation I assume the subject could hold breath to avoid, smoke, poison gas, respiring harmful spores, etc.? Mephitis OK Metempsychosis Does the reincarnation retain any of the former character’s memories? Mind-ward OK Necromancy Are there limits to the number of dritlor a Sorcerer can have in his service? Nexus OK Obliterate OK Pall OK Petition OK Portal OK Pyrotechny Does the spell scale with the size of the fire? Match, candle, lamp, campfire, bonfire, and etcetera? Radiance ?Reversed: Tenebrosity Creates a number of magical balls equal to the sorcerer’s level that project darkness 15’ around themselves, which prevents normal sight. Like effulgence (Radiance), these balls may be used to blind creatures. Remedy OK Restoration OK Reversed: Injury OK Return OK Shackles Are these shackles unbreakable or can they be broken by physical psychic, or magical means? Siphon Is the benefit / detriment permanent? Sleep OK Speculum OK Sustenance OK Tempest OK Terrify OK Transmigration Can the subjects of the caster reading thought detect the mental intrusion?
