Progress Update: Human Recalibrations

G'monday, helpful humans and all.

This is going to be a little different from some of the other progress updates I've shared here. I've been alluding to some "difficult times" in a lot of posts lately, which is a lot less transparent than I like to be with all of you. Sometimes you have to take care though, and tread lightly, and wait patiently. 

After a whole lot of that, I finally think it's the right time to clarify.

Where are we now?

In an interesting new place. 

Most of you will be aware that together, Chloe and I make up the principle team responsible for producing Tale Foundry and running the brand. You'll also probably recognize us as a couple. 

About a month ago, that last part changed.

It's a tremendous thing to work so hard at a romantic relationship and a business relationship at the same time, and despite the difficulty I'd say we did an excellent job for a long time. We achieved a lot very rapidly over the last year and a half and made a lot of valuable memories together. But in the end, we decided our well-being as individuals is the most important thing, and that it would better for us to conduct our own lives in our own way while we continue to work on this thing that we both love so much.

Of course, there's been a lot to figure out as we untangle our past romantic relationship, business relationship, and friendship. Roles to define, boundaries to set, things like that. It's been a rough season of change for the Foundry team, but we're still rolling. Worth whatever time it takes for us to both remain where we belong, working on this incredible show and community.

What's next?

Hopefully more momentum.

Things have been quite sluggish on my end as I adapt to this new lifestyle. I don't fault myself for that, but I do wish we could have been getting more content to all of you faster. For that, I apologize profoundly. If not for your support, we wouldn't be able to do any of this, and you deserve to be enriched and uplifted in return.

We are planning a way to improve the overall production time of the show in the very near future, though. Expect that in late January. If it goes over well, I think it'll do an immeasurable good for us and for our upload rate.

For now, thank you for understanding. I'd better get back to my writing before the muses desert me. I expect this story to be done before Thursday.
