Think Tank: The Good News About Patreon

It's that time again! We're going to huddle up with our engineers and conjure up a brain storm. I recommend you bring your umbrellas, because this one'll be pretty intense!

While we finish up the first video for our worldbuilding series and prepare for the big collaboration with World Anvil, we've also got another big thing to handle, here. As anyone who saw our most recent post will know, things are changing here on Patreon, and there's a lot we need to figure out. Not about the changes themselves, though—what we need to figure out is how we to spread the good news about them.

As always, we'll be holding the think tank on this Friday, August 17th, from 6:30pm-7:30pm CST.

What's on Our Minds

We have yet to implement all of the changes we announced in our last post, but we have a very solid plan for how to do that. What's not quite so solid is the plan for how we'll let all our other fans know about everything that's changing on the back end of Tale Foundry.

So, join us this Friday to help us brainstorm ideas for a Patreon Update/Felipe introduction/Merchandise Promo video.

Let's Talk About It

There's plenty to discuss here, but a couple of topics we're going to be focusing on that you could give some thought ahead of time include:

• How will we make this video engaging?
• What would you like to see in this video?
• How can we squeeze all the new, major changes into one video?
• What would make you want to watch a video like this if you saw it in your feed?
• How do we avoid straddling the line between wanton clickbait and a genuine hook to closely, here?

This should be a fun conversation, much like the one we had about how to manage our patreon last time. And of course, there's no one better to ask about this stuff than you guys—the ones who are literally funding this entire operation.
