Think Tank: The Patreon Talk

Soon now. Sooooon.

Unlike many of our think tanks, this one isn't going to be too much about the current video we're working on. We're presently deep, deep in visual production and audio editing, which, unfortunately, doesn't give us too much to talk about. Everything's already been planned; we're just producing it. We also haven't had the time to dig too much into how we'll be approaching our list video/story yet, so we won't be prepared to talk about those.

However, there are some interesting topics that should definitely concern you lot on some level—mainly about how/what we're doing here on Patreon.

What's on Our Minds

Right now it feels like we're in an interesting period of blossoming. We have some big plans for the future, and we want to make sure we're well prepared for them. Last Winter's Patreon overhaul did a lot to correct some of that, but we want to take things further still, and we have some ideas for how to do it. 

So, this session is mostly going to be about what we've come up with for the future of the patreon, and to some extent the future of the show. We'll be looking for feedback, possible obstacles we might face, and additional suggestions.

Let's Talk about It

We've got some particulars we plan to talk about during the session, so prepare your brains and think up some possible suggestions, ideas, etc., etc.:

• Text Format Stories (should we release the text version to our patrons?)
• Kickstarter (would it be worthwhile to get a really high-quality book product off the ground?)
• Promotional Items (how should we approach special limited-run items designed to bring in new patrons?)
• Patreon Video Promos (how should we approach main channel promos for Patreon? Was the last video compelling to you? How could we make it better? How often should we make them?)

This isn't necessarily everything we have planned to talk to you, but these are the things you can begin formulating opinions about before the session begins. This should be an interesting one!
