Daily Update: A River to Ford
Added 2018-06-24 08:15:23 +0000 UTCPhew. I think it might be too early in the morning for me to be writing this, but I wanna make sure I'm staying as on top of things as possible. This is my attempt.
So the show is still going great, our collaboration is still going great, life is hard (mostly because I'm human) but that's too be expected, I have very little to complain about. It's just been a rough season so far. We've lost a huge number of pledges for no clear reason in the last few months (~$155 or so?), which isn't something I'm ever going to complain about. Any amount of support at any time for any duration is incredible. It's just hard to watch things dip like this, you know? It wears on the soul.
It gets like this with numbers across all our sites from time to time, though. We're in a down period. It's rough. You have these patches. I'm hoping the next few series help us bounce back a little. Eventually these rough patches will peter out to like... "break-even" periods as opposed to "broken bank" periods.
On the positive side, I'm for once very excited to share a short story. I legitimately think this one turned out well, which means a lot from someone who has nothing but venom for their own work. Hopefully you guys feel the same. It's only a matter of days, now.
Anywho, things'll hopefully climb back up to normalcy sooner or later. We'll ford this river. We've done it before.
In the meantime, for everyone who's been here supporting us month after month (and to anyone who's ever supported us for any length of time), thank you. Even if we can't hear from all of you all the time, we know you're there, keeping this show alive. You're amazing people, and we love each of you.
This is an incredible thing to be a part of, even during the rough patches.
