Daily Update: The Slaying of the Beast
Added 2018-06-18 07:23:35 +0000 UTCAlright y’all. I’ve missed a couple of dailies over the past week, and for that I apologize. But hopefully I can make up for it with the news of what I was doing in that time.
For you see, today I took a took a leap. I have vanquished the demons of procrastination, I’ve forded the river of self-doubt, eaten the fruits of concentration, and at last, crossed the chasm finished the Slavic folklore short story.
This is uncharacteristic of me, but I think I’m pretty pleased with this one. The prose may not be as beautiful as I’d like, but the content is pretty compelling. At least Chloe and I think so. You guys can be the judge of that in a week or so when the video finally comes out.
For now, it’s on to recording, visuals, and audio editing. Weighing in at a massive 16 pages, this could well be our longest story ever, so it’ll be a bit of a scramble to get it out in time. But Chloe has the week off from her day job, and we’ve got Felipe to help us with the visual loop, so hopefully things will be a lot faster this time than we’re used to.
For all of you $10+ patrons who were involved in deciding on this story from our list of ideas, I hope I was able to do it good justice. I await your judgement with a hunger.
In the mean time, I am going to pass out. It’s been a long day, and I’ve got a very, very long script to record in the morning.
