Sorry to be a weird downer, even when everything is going to well, but list videos get to being a real grind after the first week or two of production. All that image-searching and fact-checking and what-have-you. It's pretty mechanical for the most part. So today, looking back at all that material as a source of creative fuel for a work of fiction was just... pure catharsis. Like lining up a mile-long domino track and then, finally, reflecting on all of the tedium and just giving that first domino a little push.
Right now I'm sitting on (easily) twenty story ideas. That's a lot, but it's okay, because we have think tank sessions to help whittle things down. Speaking of which, did I mention we're going to be doing some interesting transitional stuff with the next few think tank sessions? Because we are.
For now we won't be keeping to a schedule—not 'till we begin our worldbuilding series, at least. We're just going to try posting primers a day or so before a session to let you guys get your bearings, then host an audio think tank on the server. This one should be a lot of fun, but it'll also be an experiment.
I am as stoked as I am nervous.
