Phew. Okay. So Chloe and I literally just ended another call with the World Anvil team and, frankly, it may have been one of the most productive business discussions either of us have ever had.
In trying to determine how best we should sync things up for our impending collaboration, we came to the realization that we wanted to do more than the standard cross-promotional plug. We'd actually like to engage with one another and make use of each other's platforms in a meaningful way.
In explicit, direct terms, without any more of these vague, introductory, tension-building sentences, here's what this means:
We are moving the Terry Pratchett theme to the series after next.
The immediate series following Slavic Folklore will be Worldbuilding.
Yes. Just "worldbuilding". No authors or genres or franchises attached. We have an opportunity to go hard into something highly technical, break it down, and make a series that will (hopefully) be of real use to fiction writers across the board.
I can't tell you all the details of the collaboration just yet, but I can tell you that both parties are very excited about the direction we've decided to go with it. I wish there was more I could say just now, but you'll have to be as patient in your waiting as we'll have to be in our silence.
For those of you who were stoked about Pratchett being the immediate next on the list, we're really sorry for the wait. Hopefully, though, this will be worth it for all of you in the end!
