Daily Update: A Knot
Added 2018-05-10 03:39:14 +0000 UTCToday was interesting.
Once a week (usually Wednesdays) Chloe and I set aside a little no-work-allowed quality time. A much-needed weekly date night (or day, depending on how much pressure we're under). Believe it or not, being on a business team with the person you love is a huge emotional load. It can be pure magic at times, but it can also be really hard to separate the business relationship from the... relationship.
So today I wrapped up some loose pieces of the script, spent some time researching how we should approach some of our visual needs across our websites, and then swiftly packed up my computer so we could spend the rest of the day shopping with friend and painting Warhammer 40k figures at a game shop—this, because the painting demo was free we're pinching pennies.
When we returned home for the evening, I was really primed to throw something tangible together for this update. But while I was finishing that research I began earlier, I realized something. We've been hosting our website all wrong this whole time.
It's a mess to explain, so I won't spend the time here and now. Suffice to say that instead of pounding out a daily update and getting on with the evening, I spent an additional ~30 minutes digging into this issue. Looks like we've got a lot of threads to untangle here, but I've put Chloe on the job and she's very good at meticulous. I have faith in her ability to smooth out this mess in no time.
So here's me apologizing for a lack of a meaningful update this evening. Sorry everybody. More impressive stuff tomorrow, I promise. For now, this is what you get—our progress on the Reddit site:

There are still a lot of tiny tweaks to make, but I think it's really coming along! Our CSS guy is doing great work, and we're hoping to be able to roll it out fairly soon (although what "fairly soon" means, I cannot actually say).
Chloe's also been hard at work compiling items for our next series topic vote, so expect that really soon. This one, I think, should be very divisive.
At any rate, that's all for tonight. Thanks for reading, thanks for supporting, and know ye all that you have our love.
Seeya tomorrow. <3
