Update: Charge Upfront Enabled (virtually no change)

Starting this month, we're going to begin charging new patrons at the door rather than at the beginning of the next immediate pay period. This will allow us to make sure we're sending out rewards to the fans who have actually helped the show financially rather than those who are just sampling the goods before vanishing (i.e., deleting their pledge before the pay period).
I made a post about this a while back, but let me quote myself here:
I want to be really concise here with how this will work, and what it will change:
•Existing Patrons: Nothing changes for you.
•New Patrons: If you've joined this month but haven't been through a pay cycle yet, you'll be charged immediately for the current month (then the same as every other patron henceforth—the first day of the month).
•Brand New Patrons: After the change, patrons joining our community will pay their first month's pledge immediately, then will henceforth pay on the same schedule as every other patron (the first day of the month).
We meant to institute this change at the beginning of January, but Patreon's got a weird sort of "trial period" going with this feature on the creators' end right now, which somehow lead to them disabling the feature for us right as we were about to make use of it. Patreon's really great with their creator service though and as always, they delivered. A bit late, but we've got the thing all the same.
We've just begun a pay period, so no new patrons who haven't been through a pay cycle yet should be charged for January and then immediately for the beginning of February (twice in rapid succession). If you experience this, be sure to let us know. Otherwise, all should be well!
Thanks for being patient with us and the slow trickle of content lately. We're emerging from a rough season, but thanks to all of you, things are looking up!
