Announcing July's Theme!

Hello all! It's finally time for the big announcement! July's theme is going to be...

Don Quixote!

April/June together have been both very exciting and very strenuous. We finally finished what may be our most labor-intensive series yet (Junji Ito), created a Discord server, produced our first merchandise, eclipsed 50,000 subscribers, and saw our Happy Human Helper Chloe off to Spain, where she will be enjoying a lovely trip for the remainder of the month, leaving us a little short-staffed. It's been a great experience, if very difficult to keep on top of.

But at last, here we are on the other side, only... two weeks? I think two weeks late.

Unfortunately, that means we'll have to push the new series back to July. We'll have something to post on the main channel in the mean time, don't worry. For now, thanks for being so patient with us! This show's a real big thing for such a small team to tackle sometimes!

Speaking of which, those of you who voted on our last theme decision poll might have realized by this point that Don Quixote =/= Spanish Mythology/Folkore. Well, that one's our bad. We mainly optioned Spanish Mythology because, at a glance, The Lusitanian Gods of the Iberian Peninsula looked promising, and we were sure the Visigoths would have some interesting legends. But as fate would have it, all that remains of the Lusitanian Gods are some stone enscriptions, and the mythology of the Visigoths seems to be very much the mythology of the northern Celts.

Sooo we decided to go with another piece of fiction of high cultural significance from the region: Don Quixote.

Hopefully that will slake your thirst for Spanish fiction. We'll cover more mythologies in the future, promise.

Thanks again for your patience! Here's to all the progress. You guys are the best.
