When I was a young jackalope darting through the Internet of 20 years ago, I found a story on a macrophile forum that I fell in love with. It was about a cosmic bounty hunter who hooks up with a giant in a bar, so the plot is as basic as it gets. But there was something about the chemistry between the two characters that stuck with me all this time. The two characters were written like regular people on a first date; the giant was shy and adorably careful, and the bounty hunter marshaled his nerves to open up to a new and intense experience. It was a gentle story that celebrated size difference, and it inspired me to try my hand at writing ever since.

The site that hosted the story went down, and as far as I know, the tale has been lost to time. So, I thought to myself, why not write your own version of it? It's a simple story that focuses on characters but also features M/M scenes, macro/micro, size tiering, and, well, the messiness that comes with sex between beings of different sizes. I'd like to introduce June's four-part serial, Swiftie's Intergalactic.

As you may know, I've struggled to write consistently over the past several years. I had hoped this Patreon would give me enough structure and time pressure to develop a steady practice, but it became another obligation I couldn't meet from week to week. Many of you have been patrons of mine since the very beginning -- and many more have been endlessly encouraging to me. Thank you so much for your support, either through your patronage here or your kind words elsewhere. They mean a lot to me.

For the next few months I plan to post shorter serials of four to eight parts. Each one will focus on an aspect of writing I'd like to deliberately practice -- dialogue, for example, or how to build characters, or clear and compelling action scenes. Each serial will also feature the kinks I'm into, so hopefully even if the deliberate practice doesn't work out as intended there's at least some smut to keep things lively.

This month I'll post a Marshmallow Ranch Gazette every Thursday; if the next episode isn't ready by then, I'll be sure to warn you then so it won't be a surprise if I miss a week. The following Tuesday, I'll post the next episode. That means the first episode of Swiftie's Intergalactic will be coming Tuesday, June 6th.

I'll also be changing the tiers for the Jackalope Serial Company. Patrons can choose either $2 per episode, which will open access to the weekly serials and this very newsletter; or $5 per episode, which will provide the weekly serial, the newsletter, and additional posts to discuss what they'd like for the next story. I'm always happy to receive feedback, and I'll do my best to give you what you want from me.
