Leon never aimed for sports being a career choice yet he wanted to make his father proud. Leon works hard and practices until he collapses and failure isnt an option. Leon would feel devastated if he felt he lost in anything especially sports.
Leon felt if he was in so many sport teams his parents would eventually come to one of his games, and they could bond as a family through sports especially with his father. However, they rarely ever showed and all Leon could hear is the disappoints of other parents. Leon is great at sports, he's competitive and wants to win yet he refuses to follow it as a career and instead focus on what he truly enjoys "Math"
