Usagi in some ways represents a butterfly, and in the anime series we see allot of references during her transformation especially with her hair. I decided to use the same element but switch the butterfly into a moth.

Moths are often time seen as scary creatures, hell, im terrified of them but I do enjoy the patterns of their wing and to me they seem tougher than butterflies. Moths are always consider the ugly compare to a butterfly when In reality they are beautiful in their own ways.
Lili bow is actually a wing, and it opens and closes, can she fly? im still thinking about it. Lili arc when she cuts her hair is when she truly feels alone and it is the critical time she must learn to trust in herself and her own feelings and reunite with who she use to be or still is.
Moth wings are such an amazing symbolic way to present my choices when thinking about Lili character. Lili is the main character and my focus is to make her memorable not only as a character but in her designs as well.
