Forgiveness?

I was watching Kings Ranking, In the anime Bojji was given the moment to forgive the teacher who literally tried to kill him because he thought he was doing the right thing. Kage told Bojji to forgive his teacher because Kage doesnt want Bojji to live his life with hatred and Bojji refused and ran away crying. I really enjoy that scene because the character did something that was unexpected. Many stories make the main character forgive everyone wrong doing but this time that wasnt the case. I enjoy that because I dont imagine Lili forgiving Jasper right away or at all really, but to keep moving forward she must do what best for her at the moment.However, as she hugs Jasper she feels his guilt his sadness his sorrow but she can't allow herself to get hurt again. not again.
