The Witcher: Woodland Horror

As the blanket of fog lingered over the sleepy village, Ciri was getting ready. Although it was meant to be a short stop to gather supplies and a warm meal, her stop proved to be far more. 

Not long after arriving at the village, the young Witcher was called down by an old woman. Even through the gloom, her weathered face with sharp features could be seen. 

“Witcher! Witcher!” The old woman yelled as Ciri hopped off her horse. However as Ciri turned around to face the woman, she stopped in her place. “Oh, you’re a woman. I thought you were a Witcher. I saw your sword.” 

Ciri gestured over to the sword strapped to her horse. “Don’t let me being a woman fool you. I’m just as good as any other Witcher. Only difference is I don’t have a sword between my legs.” 

A nearby group of children who had gathered to see who the traveler was laughed at Ciri’s crude remark,  only to the annoyance of the old woman who shooed them all away. 

“We don’t get many people passing through, let alone anyone with a sword. Whether or not you’ve got a cock, you’re better than naught. Come. We’ll speak inside.” 

The two of them went inside the woman’s hut. If the fog outside was thick and heavy, the smoke inside was insufferable. The thatched roof was barely visible overhead through all the smog. Yet the old woman wasn’t wheezing in the slightest. 

Moving aside a bowl of crushed herbs and tools, the aged woman took a seat, gesturing Ciri to do the same. When Ciri left the suffocating hut, the sun was high in the sky, but still struggling to push through the gloom. 

After getting all of the supplies she needed, plus extra for her new contract, Ciri began to pack them away in her saddle bag. 

“It’s okay, boy.” The Witcher whispered, calming her stead down after he had grown restless. Ciri was no stranger to the dangers that ancient forests hide beneath their towering trees. Yet she was determined to find whatever was lurking within the mist.

Finally! I’ve been able to complete a Witcher set without it going tits up. Really happy with how this came out. Went in to it with the goal of keeping it simple. No complex story, little-to-no dialogue something that harked back to my earlier sets - whilst maintaining my current standards. And I think I pulled that off. 

When creating the environment I really wanted to give off a creepy, foreboding vibe and that was a theme I carried on throughout with the Fiend - and to a lesser extent the Troll. 

I’d say the biggest challenge I had was making the schlongs too big - especially for the Fiend. I wanted to make the monster massive, huge to give Ciri a worthy foe. But, yeah, the pp was too big. However I worked around that limitation quite well and got some really good images out with limited poses. That was why I added the section with Bark the Troll as I wanted to do some cowgirl poses that were not possible with the fiend. 

Some people may have noticed that I’m using a different Ciri model to the one I’ve been using this year. I wanted to try this model out again as I’ve had some requests for it and I myself wanted to give it another whirl.

My previous opinions with the model stay the same. Every pro this one has, is a con on the other Ciri model, but vice-versa. Basically, everything this model does well, the other model doesn’t. But this model’s shortcomings are the other one’s advantages. So there is no perfect Ciri model out there for me. 

Going forward, I’ll use this one for monster contract sets. But any set with Ciri and another Witcher girl, I’ll switch back to the older Ciri model.
