Half Life: Deception

As the sun rose up in the sky, its orange rays bursting through the towering skyscrapers, Alyx found herself standing in one of the hundreds of indifferent sewer passageways that covered much of the city's outskirts. As much as she tried to ignore it, the air around her had a potent stench to it. Worse than usual, she noted to herself. 

As always her contact was late. Only once in their dozen or so meetings, had the Vortiguant shown up on time. R-2464 - or Randy as Alyx affectionately calls him - was an important asset to the local resistance cell, despite his punctuality. However, Alyx had found a way to entice him to their meetings, to give him a reason to show up on time. 

Much like most Vortiguants, they are attracted to human females. It was widely known, albeit not spoken about officially, that female resistance members would sneak out for some R&R at the nearby Vortiguant camp. And Alyx was no exception. She’d experimented with a number of aliens in her time. Although she had never gone all the way with R-2464 as she wanted to keep him on a short leash. 

Right on que, the slender alien poked his head round the corner, his single eye darting left and right, up and down to make sure the passage was clear. Just as every one of their previous meetings was clear before this, Randy could never be too sure. Vortiguant’s can be known to be skittish, and Randy was certainly not a break from the rule. Loyal to a fault, but would flee at the fight sight on the Combine. 

“It’s all clear.” Alyx shouted from the far side of the stone corridor. Randy gestured for her to keep quiet before reluctantly stepping round the corner to approach Alyx who was seated nearby. 

“The Alyx Vance should keep her voice down less she wants Overwatch to hear us.” The Voriguant said as he crouched down next to Alyx. “If we get caught with this…”

“Oh don’t worry so much.” Alyx said, cutting Randy off. “How many times have we done this before? Must be well over 12 now. We’re not going to get caught. Overwatch has far bigger things to worry about than what we’re doing in this toxic dump. 

She noticed that Randy was particularly tense today. Alyx feared as much. Just a few days ago, Overwatch forces had raided a resistance safehouse, taking everyone unlucky enough to be caught inside. Randy was nervous at the best of times, but today he was teetering on the edge of running away and cutting all times. 

The resistance needed that intel and R-2464 was too valuable of an asset to lose. Alyx had to think quickly to get the alien to cool down. Thankfully she knew the one thing that would all abut guarantee his cooperation. 

Using the brief moment when Randy was facing away - mistakenly thinking a falling stone must be a soldier overhead - Alyx unzipped her top, revealing her soft, round breasts. “Like what you see, big boy?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a set that was so polarising to work on. One day, I could be loving it, coming up with good poses and just overall being in the zone. Then the very next day could be the opposite where I struggle for poses and not feeling motivated. And the frustrating thing is that I can’t place my finger on why. With sets before that I’ve struggled on I can always figure out where I struggled, but here nothing seems obvious. 

I think one of the main issues I faced was that I never really had a plan for where the set was going or a structure to it. With previous sets - especially with dialogue - I have it all either mapped out in my head or will have the script written out which I can use as a guide. However with this one I never had that, hence why I decided to upload it without any subtitles as I wasn’t happy with how it came out. 

However, outside of that the set was pretty good. I was partially happy with how the lighting came out, especially on the second half of the set. But my highlight of the set was the poses with the headcrab threesome with Alyx and R-2464. By that point in the set I was losing motivation and growing more and more frustrated with it so I wanted the set done ASAP. However I will do another Half Life set where I’ll expand on those poses in the future as it’s got a lot of potential. 

Overall I’m happy with the set, just feel like I spent too long working on it as making the environment took a few too many days to finish imo. But, it’s done at least and now I can move on to other projects.
