Coloured sketch for Anguirus; the Disaster God of Earthquakes, the master of stone, possibly the mightiest of them all. As old and mighty as the earth itself, with a bristling carapace so durable no weapon on Earth could pierce it, and a club upon his tail heavy enough to blow down an entire kingdom in one swipe. His mere footsteps cause the mountains themselves to tremble, a single strike of his horns enough to turn bedrock to sand, jaws able to shear through the hardest metals, he was one of few whose mere existence was a challenge to the dreaded sea god.
Fury incarnate, the monster lord himself, he who arose from the waves again and again to battle the tectonic sovereign. Not even the sea god's blue light could penetrate the earth dragon's hide. An unstoppable force against an immoveable object. It is said their rivalry stretches back untold eons, to an age before life as mankind knew it walked the Earth. They are two of the last living creatures which have known of this world, eyes that have seen the planet when the land was molten and stars bombarded the surface.
Although lacking in many of the long-range offensive attacks common in primordial hyperfauna, his physical formidability is unmatched, allowing Anguirus repeated head-on attacks, as he can easily withstand any retaliation that is inflicted during the assault. His shell can capture incoming kinetic energy, and can redistribute into his own attacks, strengthening their power. His body is more stone and metal than flesh, capable of surviving the immense pressure and heat while navigating the mantle layers, and durable enough to do regular battle with even the mightiest opponents over millions of years.
