R'lyeh: Strider Tongues
Added 2023-02-22 06:37:09 +0000 UTCSomeone asked what the striders looked like with their prehensile tongues fully extended so I gave them a sketch of it. Then, I cleaned up the sketch and coloured it and made this, and now everyone here can see it.
The exact structure varies slightly between strider species, but here's a typical one possessed by the nebulous strider. Fleshy fringes near the end and a small claw at the tip act like the "fingers" of an elephant's trunk and a fingernail to better grasp smaller objects and allow for finer manipulation.
