FOM: Rodan, Hedorah, Rodan vs. Hedorah

Back then, the design aesthetic for FOM was more Shin Godzilla inspired, with more kaiju that were grotesque mutations, but it became less so later on with later designs. As you can also see, the idea of Rodan fighting Hedorah was established very early on.

The cusp of FOM was to weld all the different Godzilla canons into one mostly cohesive timeline, so the characters take inspiration from all their various incarnations, although the attempt to explain them semi-scientifically is, rather obviously, inspired heavily by the MonsterVerse, although it is not intended to copy it.
