RJ Ramblings

Last week was pretty crazy. I had to go back and look at last week's ramblings just to see what I had talked about, because it feels like it was so long ago.
So first of all, we found a house. We had seen this house when we first started house hunting, and I absolutely loved it. It was perfectly priced and exactly what we wanted and I just loved everything about it. But then it was scooped up and we couldn't get it. Then, last week, I was just looking at houses online after working one day, and bam, it's "Back on the Market". I called up my agent and we went to go see it immediately. I met the owner and he was nice. And I was like, "I want this house. Make it happen."
And she did. We made the offer. The sellers accepted it. We did all the paperwork. An inspector is going to look at it tomorrow to make sure everything is in order, but we're not expecting anything that would stop us from getting the house at this point. We're closing at the beginning of May and moving in right after that.
So until then, we get the chaotic mess of cleaning and packing up everything in our house for this move. I'm so extremely excited about it. It's honestly been hard for me to think of anything else. It's absolutely incredible that I'm able to do this and I'm so happy that I found a house that I love. I can't wait to live there.
Aside from the house stuff, my spare time has been spent reading Starfinder stuff, because I'm planning on running a little campaign in a couple months. And that made me want to replay Mass Effect, so I picked up the Legendary Edition and have started playing through it again. That's about it.
I was able to buy a house, guys. Thanks to you all. I love all the people that have supported me so much. I love that I get to do this for a living. You're all amazing.

Congrats on the house! Closing gets a little stressful, but once you start to move in, it feels like all the stress was worth the reward!

2023-03-20 14:27:36 +0000 UTCCongrats on the house! A house you love is sooo critical because you’ll notice all the little things that you love and that will bug you over time. Good to start from a positive place. Plan to spend money to do repairs. The only place I didn’t was under the construction warranty because we built it. Home projects will be never ending but if it’s in decent condition and you love it, they will probably be mostly fun. Again. Congrats!
