I hung out with friends all day and night yesterday and I'm feeling it a little today. Did not want to get up this morning. Haven't had my coffee yet. Kinda hurting all over. It was a fun night, but dang.
I've been pretty stressed out this last week. We are currently house hunting and the market is so crazy right now that there has been twice so far that I'm excited about a house and it gets bought by some company for cash before we can even get a chance. It's pretty frustrating. We have an agent who is working on it though and regularly sending me houses that she finds. But we're looking for something very specific and haven't been able to get it yet. Things are moving though.
That whole situation has made me very stressed though. Because when I see a new house, I feel pressured to make a decision on it quickly, because if I don't, it will probably not be there the next day. But I don't want to make a decision too quickly, or else I could be stuck with a house that I don't love for many years. So it just feels like a lot of pressure.
I'm sure I'll be very happy when we find the right one though and get moved. It's something I've been wanting for so long and I'm very glad to finally be able to do it, thanks to all the support I've gotten.

2023-03-20 01:30:54 +0000 UTCI was in the same boat last year and had been looking for about 2 years, so I can see how stressful you and Mango must be. Many times I doubted and questioned myself if I was being too picky etc. Until one day, I saw a new posting and I just had a strong feeling that "that's mine". Got the first slot for the showing, put in an offer, and that's where I'm living now. Not saying everything is all rainbow and sunshine now since maintaining a house is another story, but my point is I think when you see something that's yours, you will know. We just all have to wait for our turn. It will come, you will find it, and you will get it. Don't settle for less.

Still, There is a huge issue with investors/large organizations purchasing up property, at least in the states. It’s a whole thing which also artificially creates a housing shortage, or adds to it. (Sarcasm font not really) Cyberpunk, here we come! (/Sarcasm font)

2023-03-13 14:18:33 +0000 UTCMy gf and I have also been house hunting. We have had the same issue with people or companies buying them out with cash. I'm assuming with the intentions to rent them out. It feels bad.
