[Free Sample] History of Gostar: The Feylords

Hello all of you wonderful Patrons out there!
I just wanted to share with you a lil' snippet of Gostar's History, that I am sharing with my Fancy Goblins and Gigachads, just so you're not totally missing out :P

I hope you enjoy this lil extract from the History of Gostar.
I post monthly lore documents to my Pyjama Goblins (on NPCs in my world) as well as my Fancy Goblins & Gigachads (on the world of Gostar itself), if that interests you at all :P

If not though, here is a lil sample of my world regardless ;D xD
Enjoy!

...

Gaia, the leader of all of the Gods, moulded the world of Gostar and separated it into 6 distinct realms in its making: Jotunheim, The Vale, Olympus, Limbo, Diyu and Guinee. Each a distinct collection of unique biomes, treasures and mysteries. Each of which she left to her children, the 6 dragons of Gostar known as the Feylords, to protect.

Once her job was done, and Gostar was made, Gaia hid herself deep within the earth where she began the steps of a powerful ritual that would only ever be repeated once more in Gostar’s history by none other than Artemis herself.  During this ritual, Gaia removed her head from her body, leaving only one for herself to continue living.  Each head, she moulded into an egg, for Gaia would not simply be dividing her power and self, but creating new beings altogether. They would be immortal like she was, in a sense,  only able to truly die by the hand of another of their kin, or their own undoing.  The process of tearing her heads from her own body nearly killed her utterly.  She would have to leave this world she loved so dearly, and return to the chaos from which she came, so she could heal, and recharge in its energies.  Gaia shed her skin, so that her children could feed on her power upon their hatching, and then she left.  And the world has been without her presence ever since.  But she did not leave this world unguarded.

The Feylords, unbeknownst to them, would roam the world of Gostar like mortals would; experiencing every sensation.  They would remain in this world through each passing generation, learning about all it can give.  And then, they say, when Gaia finally returns, she will swallow each of them up and learn of all the things she had missed.  Gaia would learn what it truly means to walk amongst mortals, and only then would she be able to serve them fairly.  Only then could she be a “true god”.

But what of her children and the lives they lived, these legends who would become known as The Feylords?
