LSS Transition Rack
Added 2024-10-30 18:51:45 +0000 UTCHey all,
Easy little rack I made to help streamline build-ups. I know there's many of these out there, but the advantage to this is you can "program it" quickly and easily to do what you want.
Often times I find the other racks out there just aren't exactly what I want - maybe the preset is good but it filters too much, or too little compared to the reverb. Sometimes the reverb tone isn't what I want, or too much. This allows you to quickly change all of that and still keep ONE automation.
HOW TO USE:
open LSS Transition rack
press M on the rack, top bar
you'll see ranges for 0-0, map out how much of each effect you wish to have. if you decide later on there's too little/too much, you can simply tone it back under this menu.
press M to close, automate the one knob for all of the effects in tandem.
LP/HP - simple filters
LONG VERB - classic long bright build up reverb
SHORT VERB - this is specifically made for drums, I like using it on breaks/effects that I want to be in the background. try resampling your drop drums and putting it in here with a high pass filter.
SHIFT - frequency shifter, great for no latency pitching up drums/risers/effects
DELAY - 1/4 note delay with high pass
MONO - closes down the stereo image, good for making drops feel bigger, use subtly
GAIN DOWN - automates the volume down to silence, I sometimes like a little bit of this to make drops feel bigger. sometimes having too much high end in the build can make the drop feel anti climatic
ALSO NOTE - if transition knob is at 0, it is NOT affecting the audio - that simple. so you can use this on your master and NOT lose headroom/efficiency.
enjoy!
