Superstar
Added 2025-02-02 19:05:21 +0000 UTCSuperstar is the first superhero character I ever created in DAZ. His basic look has remained virtually unchanged. I don't have the original files for him - they were all lost long ago. The first appearances of him, Shockwave, and Kid Aikido were all on Y!Gallery. I had several series and comics of them up there.
Unfortunately, Y!Gallery was hacked and all their content deleted, most of the earlier stuff gone forever. A handful of people were able to provide me some of the old Kid Aikido pictures but nothing else.
I'm not even sure he was originally a blonde; Skyboy might know. But he was a wrestler, a normal dude who took his high-school wrestling uniform, put on a Halloween mask, and went out to fight crime in and around his school. Then he got super powers from the god Priapus (the real-world Roman god of male fertility, usually depicted with an enormous phallus).
The main reason he was a wrestler was that there was no other superhero-like clothing for him at the time. Only due to JoeQuick's efforts did Shockwave get his shorty trunks and his mask, etc.
His hair-style changed, his costume changed from, I think yellow, to red, back to yellow, and has stayed red for a while now. He had one other costume I tried on him a couple years ago. but it didn't really feel 'right' on him.
