Something Golden
Added 2017-11-24 19:00:39 +0000 UTCThis Holiday Extra is the result of a commission request - Magno and Davey were crimefighters in the Golden Age of comics, Magno starting out solo in Super-Mystery Comics and quickly acquiring the requisite kid partner that almost all adults had to have post-Robin, who was introduced just a few months earlier than the above issue. About half the time kid sidekicks to even super-powered heroes were normal kids themselves, Davey being one of the exceptions to that, and singular in the ... unique ... way Magno had to bestow powers on his little buddy (which I don't think we ever see after this first time, above, for perhaps obvious reasons....)
Needless to say, the Davey in the attached comic has grown up quite a bit, still continuing his fight alongside his idol, Magno. Because this is shorter, it's accessible to both $5.00 and $10.00 tiers.
