Candlelight! Privacy! Music! Hand-to-Hand Combat!

School is back in session and nobody is (currently) smashing up or rebuilding anything in my house, so please enjoy this unmitigated burst of productivity.

(Also in the previous few weeks I have been giving audiobook notes, a process which takes...many hours. But I have sent all of those off so I can get back to doing my actual job. Hooray!)

Esmeralda vs. Phoebus: let's go :)

It's OK, she's neither praying or prophesying, just fighting (1 Corinthians 11: 5, 10, 13)

I've never seen it, but it does look like the kind of thing I would enjoy(begrudgingly, grr! πŸ˜‚). Really looking forward to your BG3 breakdown - I'm on my second playthrough at the mo!

I remember reading a Batman fanfiction where Damian is watching Dick and Stephanie fight each other, and he finds it SO IRRITATING that they keep talking to each other - until he realises that both of them use conversation as a distraction technique. And I love the name of your new helper.

Cassandra

Absolutely agree with you about "Hellfire". It is definitely the best Disney villain song and very underrated. Also love you using the correct terms pronate and supinate. Just a fun fact from an old anatomy professor, we used the mnemonic "begging for soup" (supination) to teach students which was which.

Indeed 3:55 her left hand grabs the blue cloth from below his neck that appears to be the front of his cloak/cape.

Esmeralda does not have an authority on her head. What will the angels think?

Anders

Nitpick - she doesn't throw him down by his belt - it's by the cape that's around his neck. You can see the thing that's in her hand is blue like the cape and also from a weight/balance perspective it's better to pull on something farther from the center of mass.

This looks totally your jam. And thus, my jam.

That would be less fun, though 😁

That candelabra looks like it's iron and therefore really heavy. It's going to ruin the edge of the sword when they parry and she won't be able to swing it very fast. I can't help thinking he'd be better just grabbing it and holding it so she can't swing it anymore. He could hold it between them as a barrier and continue his conversation.
