Sometimes you just have to reset an entire series, either because you didn't notice something was off when it rendered or it's a problem that for some reason cannot be fixed. The figure on the right is the new design I did for Kid Cougar for a commission, but... no matter what I did, for some bizarre reason his belt - which looks dark orange to me in design - renders as a fluorescent and inconsistent pink. Similarly, his hair is supposed to be dark chocolate brown but it repeatedly insists on rendering as a striated blonde with a major pixilation problem on top of that, no matter how I light it.
Finally, I just had to toss the entire series of renders and start over again from scratch. This won't be going to the customer, so I'm just using it as an illustration that sometimes things just don't work out and you may never know the reason why.
