It's probably too late to tell you this but as that is an enclosed space with minimal ventilation the air quality is uncertain. Do *not* go down there unless 1] you've left the trap door open for a 'good long while' to let fresh air in (which you won't want to do with Nemo and Ursa minor about) or 2] Used an air quality monitor (which you probably don't have) or 3] have Mr Bearup at hand should you loose consciousness upon entering. (I'm sending you in first on the assumption he is more likely to be able to haul you out while holding his breath than you would be to haul him out) If there are gas pipes down there (which there might be) do *not* test the oxygen content with a candle. Great at confirming that there is oxygen but also a little "overly enthusiastic" at reporting if gas has been building up slowly for years.
