I don't specifically remember watching the film but it's familiar enough that I probably have :) <br> British people of a certain age will remember 'Allo 'Allo's wordplay - the candle with the handle, the jug with the drug, the gateau for the chateau - which is very much in the same vein.

I don't remember the vessel or the pestle or any of that (probably because I didn't know English at that age and I read the subtitles more than I actually listened to the conversation), but I do remember how snapping of fingers switched the hero from bumbling to awesome and back again.
