I joined late and then went back after it was over to watch from the beginning, and had a few thoughts I wanted to chime in. Yes indeed, Zoom interviews are an exercise in figuring out where to look and how to make you look the most like you're looking at the other person while also still being able to see and react to them normally. (I was just entering the workforce in the beginning of covid so have actually only done virtual job interviews, and after a bit I did start turning off my self-view but then it sometimes made me more self conscious, but also you can't see yourself in normal interviews so it's a tossup). My dad has a virtual background thing with a photo of his actual office at an angle that somehow makes it look like he's always looking straight at the camera/the person he's talking to and not looking down a bit as you normally look on Zoom. I am also glad you are going to be not fencing anything but foil for a bit-please take care of your brain, concussions are bad and brains are so delicate and important. I ended up seeing my parents on the day of Easter and we had stew and cake and it was good (I also was invited to a Passover Seder with some friends on Friday night, which was lovely).

2022-04-19 09:39:39 +0000 UTCMy friend, who is a Christian, texted "Christ is risen" to me. When I tried to text her back "He is indeed risen" my phone changed it to "He is indeed updated". I think it's nice to know that Jesus downloads the latest updates before he resurrects.
