New green/blue/gold/silver screen! And other things!

Look what came yesterday! My pop up (it folds to a 30ish cm circle) greenscreen! Which is also a bluescreen on the other side! With a zip on cover which can turn it into a gold or silver reflector when you don’t need it as a backdrop! I AM EXCITE.

I gave my old greenscreen to Bruce, the chap who directed Flirting With Violence, because he can use it when he teaches and none of the rooms in my house will accommodate it any more.

Because I now live in a place with normal sized rooms and also a normal amount of furniture.

But anyway!

I might do a stream on Tuesday afternoon (GMT) if any of you are around or have burning questions?

Also, I recorded a monologue for use in acting audtions, which is Erik Selvig in Thor: The Dark World. It’s here.

Any ideas for good monologues? They only need to be 20-60 seconds long, but I’m rubbish at remembering where to get good ones.

Happy new year to you all, and I’ll talk to you soon!

There is one answer to that question- the actor who wants to be in the sequel. :D

Nice :)

I just found out it's called the 'Tears in the Rain' monologue (Blade Runner). I guess it's considered one of the 'best monologues in the history of cinema'. I didn't know that, but it has always been powerful to me and one of my favorites. What actor doesn't want a shot at a classic death scene?

Are you doing the livestream tomorrow, and if so, what time?

Uhmm, I meant sonnet 121....which is also a soliloquy.

Shakespeare soliloquy 121, or Rutger Hauer's dying monologue in the end of blade runner (absolutely beautiful!)

Love it. And happy birthday! See you Tuesday 🙂

Still want to hear you do the Lady Macbeth monologue from the 1st act. Come, you spirits That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full Of direst cruelty. Make thick my blood. Stop up the access and passage to remorse, That no compunctious visitings of nature Shake my fell purpose, nor keep peace between The effect and it! Come to my woman’s breasts, And take my milk for gall, you murd'ring ministers, Wherever in your sightless substances You wait on nature’s mischief. Come, thick night, And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell, That my keen knife see not the wound it makes, Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark To cry “Hold, hold!” Totally up for a live stream on Tuesday. And today is my birthday! So I get what I want.

I do love me some Firefly. Great idea 😁

Monologues? Right before the chime from your email, I was just thinking of River's little Cockney-esque scene-stopper to Badger in Firefly's Shindig. No idea if that means anything to you. Might be fun seeing you act a bit snotty, a bit saucy, a bit insouciant.
