Age Span Durations For My "Custom World"

Hey! So I've decided that I'm going to start putting together a save game/world in the near future, initially using the recent Maxis Sim makeovers I'm working on to populate Oasis Springs and such, with more (and my own original sims as well) sims added to this over time after I get the initial version up. I made a post on LL with a little preview of the sims and households I'm working on getting done for this. Here's a link to that.

Something I got thinking about in relation to that is sim ages, in days and life stage that is. Currently I've sort of set sims' ages using MCC to correspond with a couple of assumptions about what the duration of the life stages correspond to.

I'm currently not quite sure about toddlers and children, but since I don't have any of them really I haven't really thought about it, but I've been thinking.

Teen: 14-18 years old

Young Adult: 18-36 years old

Adult: 36-64 years old

Elder: 64+ years old

My game is running normal sims 4 age durations and I've just used days spent in life stage divided by the total number of days in a life stage to determine what the sims' equivalent age in years would be (nevermind that this means that a "year" as an adult is not the same as a year as teen and so on).

I like having my sims have an age set in sim days to differentiate them according to how lon until they progress to the next life stage and such for immersion and variety.

Here's the question I would like to pose to people here, and that is, for this world I'm setting up, should I stick to the "normal" Sims 4 age spans, should I go for the "long" version or would you prefer I go for some custom or modded age spans? I'm asking this because the precise lengths don't really matter that much to me as the progression and what that indicates, also I'm fairly sure that if I change the age durations (or whatever you call them), especially if via a mod or MCC, it just changes the total length of the life stages and does nothing to the number of days a sim has been alive.

I'm asking this to the few Patrons I have here, because I don't really need alot of replies or votes, just something to guide me in how I decide.

I personally play with aging on for most of my play time so long lifespans would be appreciated since regardless aging can be turned off at any point.

Yeah, when I play I usually do so without aging turned on as well. Anyway, the question is mostly intended to see what lengths people who actually play with aging on play with so that I can set sim starting ages (in days) appropriately for this.

Usually turn aging off and do it with commands when I feel like aging someone up :)
