Changes to how Commission will work

Pretty big changes coming re commission next week.

This experiment of mine failed. I tried to make a fun token style system that'll let people basically space out the payment for commissions over longer periods etc. It...is a really shitty system. For me.

It works for some people who just stay consistently subbed, and that's great. But that's not how Patreon works, because a lot of people dip in and out for whatever reason (I do too, this is not me throwing shade), and it's a fucking nightmare to track.

Especially since I can't switch back to first of the month billing, so not only does everyone earn a token at different times of the month, but I have to keep manually checking when people dip out so my script doesn't award them a token when it shouldn't. Then I can see my current audience list now, and people are still in the tier even though they're cancelled over a month ago and shouldn't be, so that needs even more checking and rechecking and UGH.

It's just not workable.

So starting next week, I'm just deleting the tier. I'll honour all the tokens everyone has accrued, but going forward, if you want to commission a work from me, it's $25 per 1000 words.

This is infinitely simpler and I can focus on writing instead of micromanaging this and trying to fit it into Patreon's messy backend (ew).
