New work is Water Nymph Andreea. This theme is requested by a subscriber who is a long-time subscriber and business partner at Nutshell Atelier. There's a romantic story, and there's a picture that he requested when I made it. And I'm making it accordingly.
There are only two problems in production, and the first problem is how similar I sculpt her like her, and how to deal with water particles. I will continue to communicate with the requester and try to make her face as much as similar. The second is the representation of the water wing and the water crown below, and personally my feeling now, it's like a melting candle wing. If I sculpt water particle smaller, it becomes a strange noise and is not aesthetically pretty. It seems important to find the proper size and silhouette of the water particles.

I also feel like a flatter, less textured surface would sell the effect better

2022-12-04 18:55:29 +0000 UTCI think it does not require a lot of action on the surface of the wings. The photo for me looks similar to cut glass. When you look at water curtains either they are made of drops or they are quite flat. That being said I believe it would be worth to print the wings in transparent resin as a non-transparent ones will never look like water (regardless of shape). All that being said it is a really difficult topic in my opinion as water wings are made on photos to make an impression not a solid object and it is hard to portray something liquid in a differently stable shape than a puddle. All water made wings I could find had a lot of discontinuity. Without handling it somehow it will be extremally hard to repeat that vibe in a static object.
