New Year Update

Hey, y'all! Just wanted to make a post, seeing as it is in fact 2026. I'm just going to update the state of the game and comment on some things I'm sure some of you have been wondering about.

First, December kicked my ass. Between getting wildly sick and all of the holiday shenanigans, I did, in fact, not accomplish as much as I had hoped to before the end of the year. Mainly, this means things like polls and vip stuff got neglected. There are two poll results dating back to November that still need to be satisfied. I have not forgotten them, but they were put on the back burner.

Rene's three sink spa encounter and Roxanne's formal attire/expression set are still going to be made. I have to make a concession, though. Between those two additions and wrapping up events for the upcoming public alpha, I will not be doing any special poll this month.

That being said, I will do a poll first thing in February. If people would like to make suggestions about what kind of content they might like to see (new attire, a character getting a full suite of expressions, a new scene, etc.) definitely have those conversations in the vip section on the discord and I will pay attention to what gets said and may base the February poll around that discussion.

So, here's where we sit. The following things that need to be completed before public alpha.

Story
There isn't much left to do, to be honest. I have been teasing some of the work I've done regarding introducing a new settlement located in the locker rooms. This leads to a series of events which eventually introduce both Sip and Bianca officially.

That's it. That's all the new content that I have to wrap up for this public alpha. The rest are things I would like to see completed but also might relegate to finishing with subsequent public alpha bug fixes.

Playtesting Everything

I've made a lot of comments about playtesting and the last couple updates showcased that. There are some loose ends that I would like to wrap up before release. Examples include:

Those are main elements I want to finish before public alpha. Don't get me wrong, there are more things to do. Such as playtesting Joanne's wandering events as they are still a bit buggy.

That being said, I am aiming for an end of January release. I am pretty set on this. I've been putting a lot of time in to try and really bring this thing together. There's really nothing preventing this public alpha dropping this month except for me being my own worst nitpicky enemy.

So, with that said. I think there will be one last dev-build within the next week before public alpha 2.x release. Call it a pre-alpha, or whatever.

So, that's it. I'm excited. The next few weeks should be interesting!
