I do like the idea that one patron, Anna Parrish, mentioned. Purchasing a stone or maybe flooring at whatever the person could contribute would get everyone involved with such a project of beauty and history.

As a new patron, I believe and agree with everything you, Philip and Amaury have decided. And yes, it is difficult to find good and reliable contractors-so keep the one you have as the architect can work with them. To have the quality and the assurance of longevity, you have to pay for what you get.
