Ruan Shi patted Shu Yu's hand. "I did have something on my mind, but it's resolved now."

"What problem did Mother encounter?"

Since she had already made up her mind, Ruan Shi didn't intend to hide it. She shared the news of Great Ruan passing with Shu Yu.

Shu Yu was surprised. "Passed away? How did she die?"

"I didn't ask for details, but my cousin said it was due to illness."

"Due to illness?"

Shu Yu understood and heard Ruan Shi say, "Our family had already severed ties with them a long time ago, and we won't have any more contact in the future. So, it has nothing to do with us." Implicitly, she meant that she wouldn't be attending Grandma Ruan's funeral.

Seeing that Ruan Shi seemed calm, Shu Yu didn't say much more, just nodded and escorted her back to her room.

When she came out again, she said to Ying Xi, "Tomorrow, find out why old lady Ruan passed away."

"Yes, Miss."

Ying Xi was quick, and the next morning, she returned with precise information and even brought the diagnosis results from the doctor who had treated Grandma Ruan.

The second one provided more detailed symptoms, including a lump under the armpit, hard texture, localized pain, emaciation, and fatigue.

The doctor had prescribed medicine, but it hadn't been very effective.

Shu Yu pondered as she looked at the two diagnosis results. If she remembered correctly, the symptoms mentioned in the second diagnosis seemed to be indicative of breast cancer.
