When Shu Yu went to visit, Ding Yuehua was sitting by the bed, looking dispirited, as a maid helped her trim her nails.

Fortunately, although she was still in confinement, she was allowed to wash her hair and bathe occasionally. She could also walk around the house but was not allowed to go outside in the wind.

So when Ding Yuehua saw Shu Yu, she was almost overjoyed.

Shu Yu went to see the baby, who was tiny and just two months old, not fully developed yet, but her features were clear, and surprisingly, she resembled Third Young Master Fan.

Ding Yuehua was very happy and satisfied. "She looks so much like her father. Her father is so handsome."

Shu Yu didn't stay long at the Ding residence, as she had just returned and had many things to attend to.

In the afternoon, she went to the county office. There were still some formalities to complete regarding her appointment as a county princess.

She had been so busy and away from home for so long that many people who had heard she was back came to visit but couldn't find her.

Originally, she had planned to wait for one more day, but unexpectedly, on the third day, she went to the estate.

Sunflowers were in full bloom, casting a brilliant yellow hue. When she returned, she had only taken a quick glance, but now that she approached, she noticed that several houses had been built nearby.

Moreover, these houses were mostly occupied by employees of the Lu family's workshop. It seemed that this area was about to become lively soon.

Shu Yu's mood instantly improved. When the carriage stopped outside the estate, she had a smile on her face.

As she got off the carriage, she happened to see a little girl leading another small child wobblingly walking out.

"Xiao Ya'er?" Shu Yu waved.

The little girl raised her head, her eyes suddenly lighting up. "Big Sister Lu."

Smiling, Shu Yu looked at the little one she was leading. "This must be Xiao Zao."

It had been over half a year since they last met, and Xiao Zao, who was almost one and a half years old, didn't remember her. She blinked her big eyes, slowly moved behind Xiao Ya'er, and then peeked out, curiously looking at Shu Yu.

Shu Yu chuckled, "It seems she doesn't remember me."

Xiao Ya'er hurriedly explained, "Xiao Zao, this is your aunt."

"Aunt?" Xiao Zao tilted her head. She had memories of several aunts—Cui Hua, Lan Hua, Shu You, Ah Ning, and Bao Ya. Shu Yu looked different from the aunts she knew.

In the courtyard, Zhou Qiao heard the commotion and ran out, pleasantly surprised. "Ah Yu, you're back?"

"Sister-in-law."

Zhou Qiao quickly led Shu Yu inside. Xiao Zao blinked her eyes, seemingly not recognized by her own mother, and reached out her small hand into the empty space, confused.

But when Shu Yu picked her up as she passed by, the little one quickly became familiar with her aunt.

It was surprising to see that the once shy little girl had become quite talkative once she was familiar with Shu Yu.
