As the carriage passed by the outskirts of the town, Shu Yu didn't stop but lifted the carriage curtain to take a look at her extensive sunflower fields.

According to Da Niu, in the six months she had been away, more and more people had come to buy sunflower seeds. The nearby villages, especially those near Shishi Village, had seen people making money by growing sunflowers. Da Qi from the Da Zhuang family had planted sunflowers on about ten mu of land, and the yields were quite high.

People had heard that growing sunflowers didn't require highly fertile land like grain crops did, and they didn't need meticulous care either. Many had discussed it and decided to allocate a few mu or half of their land to grow sunflowers.

Now, in the vicinity of Jiangyuan Town, there were quite a few sunflower fields. When the sunflowers were in full bloom, they formed a beautiful scenic view.

As the carriage passed through the sunflower fields and continued for another five or six kilometers, Shu Yu spotted another small sunflower field.

She hadn't expected sunflowers to be grown here as well.

By the time the carriage arrived in Jiangyuan County, it was already evening.

After being away for over half a year, returning home felt familiar. She walked all the way to Fenghuai Street, and by then, she was impatient to get home.

However, she was surprised when she saw a carriage parked at her doorstep. "Do we have guests at home?"

Da Bao ran up, saying, "Could it be that someone found out Sister Ah Yu has become a county princess and knew you were coming back today, so they hurried over to visit?"

Shu Yu glanced at him. "Who could have such great foresight and know for sure that I'd be home today? This carriage doesn't look like it belongs to an ordinary family. I wonder who it is. Let's go inside and check."

Shu Yu led the three young men inside, and Ying Dong drove the carriage to the stable.

Just as Shu Yu turned around the screen to walk into the front courtyard, she saw two people walking towards her, holding hands.

Shu Yu immediately recognized her grandmother. "Grandma."

She greeted with a smile and then noticed the woman standing beside her... Xiao Shi?

Shu Yu was momentarily stunned. "Sister-in-law?"

Upon hearing the familiar voice, both her grandmother and Xiao Shi raised their heads in pleasant surprise. "Ah Yu."

Her grandmother hurriedly walked a few steps forward. "Oh, you're back? Did you just enter the city?"

She looked at each of them, seeing that they were in good spirits. The three boys seemed to have grown taller again, which made her smile even brighter.

Then, she remembered Xiao Shi, who was beside her, and said immediately, "Ah Yu, your return is perfectly timed. Lady Xiang was just about to leave, and you coincidentally met her. If you had been a moment later, you both would have missed each other."

Xiao Shi, standing nearby, chimed in, "Yes, I'm leaving. I'm heading back to the capital."

Shu Yu was taken aback. "Leaving?"

Xiao Shi nodded with a gentle smile. "Yes, I'm going back to the capital."

Her grandmother quickly added, "Well, Ah Yu, now that you're back, Lady Xiang will stay for dinner and then leave. Let's go inside first and talk."

Xiao Shi hesitated for a moment but eventually turned back and followed Shu Yu and the three youngsters into the front hall.

Her grandmother didn't disturb them. Since Ah Yu was back, there would be plenty of opportunities for them to talk. She had tea served and invited Shu Rui and the others to share their travel experiences.

After her grandmother busily left to attend to other matters, Shu Yu shook her head with a smile. Once everyone else was gone, she finally asked Xiao Shi, "Did Lord Xiang send someone to pick you up?"
