Gu Junyao lowered her head and said, taking a sniff of the grilled fish in her hand. It was really delicious, and she hadn't eaten fish in a long time. The memory of the plain food and drink at Qingping Temple made her feel ashamed.

As the sky darkened, Gu Junyao didn't know where to go to escape the night's storm.

"Mm." Ah Chou placed the firewood he had collected to the side and was about to go to the nearby stream to fetch some water when Gu Junyao approached him with a smile and said, "Let me help you. She had to leave this place, find her way back to the capital, and find her parents!

Trembling, Gu Junyao hugged herself and ran towards a more remote mountain path, but she didn't realize she had accidentally stumbled upon Wolfhead Ridge and was surrounded by a pack of young wolves. Gu Junyao was so scared that she couldn't even speak, pleading with her eyes, but these wolves couldn't understand human language.

"Wolf ancestors, don't eat me. My meat is not delicious at all," Gu Junyao was so scared that she almost cried, looking at the wolves that were getting closer and closer. She had to crouch down and protect her head, trying to die with some dignity.
