That's heartbreaking, though not entirely unexpected.

2023-05-22 17:25:28 +0000 UTCIt is indeed disappointing to learn this morning that Ken is crossing the WGA picket line at Jeopardy.
2023-05-12 17:12:14 +0000 UTCI hate to be That Guy with a double correction, but I also would like to point out that later, they found the main inherent difference of "one marshmallow" and "two marshmallow" kids is actually just income, lol. So yes, you can learn a growth mindset, but the main statistical thing you're testing for before that is how poor the children are (not what the researchers intended to test; more one of those "surprise!" findings upon recreation attempts). TL/DR: a child who's experienced food insecurity is taking that marshmallow, because they learned a lesson that food won't always BE available later. Even if an adult says there will be more in the future, that's not always true.

2023-05-01 17:49:25 +0000 UTCNot really "suggestions" but more like "look-ats" for topics. 1. Heathkit radio kits. 2. What happened to National Lampoon and Spy magazines? (potentially huge topics, would probably have to pick one narrow sub-topic). 3. The Fairness Doctrine in U.S. broadcasting, was huge when it was struck down by the Supremes, but it seems it was hardly covered in the media at the time. Odd, or perhaps, fitting.

2023-04-30 17:34:35 +0000 UTCGoodness, I am a *huge* fan of XTC. ... and, I'm sort of working on a list ...1. every decent sized French castle town must have its own wine. 2. Every hamlet in the English countryside over 10k in population must have a rather famous pop and or/rock band. :)

2023-04-30 17:28:16 +0000 UTCKen, regarding your recent question on Indica vs Sativa on the magic Alex episode … it’s very easy. Indica=In da couch (relaxed and sleepy). Sativa is the traditionally more creative strain.

2023-04-28 20:46:53 +0000 UTCSorry, I'm late, but McD's fish filleya is kinda bad without the cheese and Arby's is better without it.

2023-04-26 17:40:28 +0000 UTCWas that a stealth return of the Pit bell? I would not have expected to be so excited about that.

2023-04-25 22:28:12 +0000 UTCAnd yes, you can definitely call me Fatty. Having just listened my wife is already calling me the "good kind of fat, like avocado" 😀

2023-04-25 22:13:28 +0000 UTCJon "Fatty" from Swindon checking in and saying thanks for the mention, and I am very pleased my email raised a smile and also got a Swindon/XTC mention on the show.
