At the end of 2022, the listener-supported incarnation of Omnibus celebrated its third birthday. And exactly 1,111 days after the feed began, the Omnibus Project made the following announcement:

Hail Futurelings! We wanted to make sure that all our Patreon benefits would still scale well in 2023, given that the hosts' recording schedule has changed and particularly that the release schedule is now weekly.

Beginning January 1, we'll be adjusting the Patreon tiers as follows:

1. The autographed show notes at the Robot Alien Explorer level have been an annual gift up until now. It's possible that, with fewer pages of show notes being produced, we may only have enough pages to mail out to first-year Robot Alien Explorer donors. In subsequent years, donors may receive autographed Chick tracts or other ephemera in lieu of another set of show notes.

2. At the Washing Bear level, the show topic choice perk has been replaced with an exclusive t-shirt! Subscribers will receive a code for a free Washing Bear t-shirt this year, and the plan is to whimsically change the name of this tier in subsequent years to a different type of Futureling, with t-shirt to match. Collect them all!

3. At the Omniversal Hyper-Coral level, the video chat perk has been replaced with a show topic choice and a personalized video greeting from John and Ken.

Please note that all other benefits remain unchanged, including the monthly Addenda episode, and each tier will contain to qualify for every benefit in every tier below it.

As before, six months' standing at one of these three tiers is required to qualify for the exclusive benefits. However, existing subscribers will be "grandfathered in" to the 2022 version of the benefits. (In other words, if as 2022 ends you're partway toward Robot Alien Explorer show notes, a Washing Bear show topic, or a Hyper-Coral video chat, those benefits will still be honored before you get transitioned to the new tier system.)
