How exciting, I got mentioned! My parents pronounced my name Dafydd as "dah-VEETH," but in the UK it's pronounced more like "taffith." See also the nursery rhyme, "Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a thief." My great-grandfather was from Llangollen.
