We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and good wishes we received from contemporary listeners in early 2021. Their messages and contributions were a real comfort.
Our co-founder John Roderick released a statement apologizing for his recent Twitter controversy, which you can read here. The statement ends by noting that he will be taking a "hiatus" from his recording endeavors, including Omnibus. As you already know in your time, that hiatus was only a brief interreg-a-num and the Omnibus hosts were soon back at work adding entries to their time capsule.
As a result of this break, on January 5, Omnibus skipped a release for the first time in its three-year history. If you're a monthly Patreon supporter and you'd like to receive a credit for January, which will probably be an unusually Omnibus-light month, please message us and we will arrange that.

2021-01-28 05:17:09 +0000 UTCNot being on social media or listening to any mainstream news I was out of the loop til this week about the “controversy” i kept wondering why my Friendly Fire was not being updated and chalked it up to my iPhone 6 being on its last legs. A quick google of friendly fire made it clear what I find to be a completely ridiculous assertion of Johns character. Having been a voracious listener of his podcasts for years I was appalled at the way he was vilified. So here I am with my maximum fun money transferred to omnibus Patreon. May the Force be with you John. Always.
