BONUS FREE Ring Splint Models for Hypermobility

Hey everyone!

Extra little bonus model this month for my fellow chronic illness peeps, some ring splint models! I did a basic plain looking one and also a few fun more decorative and unique models, since I never see any more fun looking designs for these. They're available for free like most of my accessibility models, up on Cults3D, Makerworld, and MyMiniFactory!

Your commercial license with your subscription applies to these as well!

For those not familiar with these type of rings, they're intended to help stabilize hypermobile fingers and keep the joints from hyperextending backwards, which can cause a lot of pain or instability.

Print recs:
2-3 walls
5-15% infill
No supports
Add brim
Scale as needed for different fingers

I hope y'all like these and they're helpful to you or someone you know! <3

Thanks so much for all your support,

Most commonly these are used by people with hypermobolity and connective tissue disorders (such as EDS), but anyone that has trouble with their fingers hyperextending backwards and causing pain and instability these can help add support and keep that hyperextension from happening, while still allowing normal range of motion! (if you look up figure 8 ring splints they can also be used for different types of support turned at different angles than the one I show here)

May I ask which conditions or affliction this will help with? This would be perfect to make with scrap filament and donate to senior centers.

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like them <3

Wow, much prettier than the plain ones that many of us old folks with crooked arthritic fingers use to try to straighten and prevent the finger from permanent disfiguring. Ty!!
