Visual Novel Time! - [Plans for March-April]

Phew! I haven't done one of these since January, so here goes!

I've been able to put in a lot more hours in the game lately since I've been spending a lot more time at home due to self quarantining, not to mention working from home at my day job also frees a lot of commute time. 

As a result, I can make some pretty solid plans for the next month and a half-ish!

Visual Novel / Cutscene Viewer

A feature I delayed for wayy too long! You can now finally talk to the characters! 

Some important story beats will be unlockable by mainly progressing through the enemy waves, others will be mostly as easter eggs or cute side stories who are unlocked by doing pretty specific things. 

I'm working on a lot cute and funny stuff to bring those characters to life. 

I'm also working closely with an artist to get the portraits done in the right format for this while I focus mainly on programming and the sexy hearts minigame illustrations, so stay tuned for more soon! 

Daisie the pixie

I'm currently designing her, but I can still give you some details about her!

Daisie is a tiny pixie who finds you fast asleep in the Evergreen Forest right as monsters start appearing. Do not let her small size fool you, though! She is fiercely dedicated to set things right in the forest and you'll need to help her to find out why you're even there in the first place. 

She'll also serve as the protagonist's guide throughout the story (and mainly your wing-woman). 

From a gameplay perspective, she'll be a potential fourth character who'll always be fielded in battle, but will be untargettable by enemies, so she'll be a net benefit to any teams! 

Character unlocks! 

Starting with v0.5, I'll be adding the character unlock requirements. This means that the progression curve will make a loooot more sense than just tagging every character as playable from the start. 

They'll also come with some cute conversation to officially met them!

Some of them will have a pretty straightforward requirement. others will be a little bit more mysterious. 

Polish and Content! 

More than ever, I've been working on menus, UI, gameplay polish tweaks as well as nsfw content (most of which gets shared in advance for Patreon supporters). 

I'm adding more troops to hire, more actual stuff to do with the features already in-game.
