Modular Dragon UPDATE
Added 2025-02-27 05:59:40 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
First of all thank you all SO MUCH for all the love and support y'all have been giving my new modular dragon! I absolutely love seeing all the different variations and combinations y'all are printing it in!
A few of y'all have mentioned having some trouble snapping in the body pieces, especially at a larger scale, so I've made some edits to help it be easier for y'all! I've added new body pieces that have a slightly larger split down the middle of the ball joint which gives it much more flex when pressure is applied to snap in but still doesn't fall out easily once it's snapped in.
Also I recommend for a stronger dragon check your infill and wall settings as well, 3 or 4 walls will help with strength a lot as well as 5-10%+ infill!

Please give them a try and let me know how it goes! Thank you all so much for your feedback and support!

2025-03-18 01:37:39 +0000 UTCI have it at 20% infill with 4 walls and I’m using the looser file. I snapped several trying to put them in.

2025-03-18 01:27:39 +0000 UTCWhat are your settings? You can try placing the bottom of the ball into the socket first and then rolling it up into the socket. But the newest ones with their separate download listing on the website should be pretty easy.

2025-03-17 23:17:37 +0000 UTCAny other tricks to getting them to snap together without breaking them? I’m using the newer ones and they still are very tight and I broke several.

2025-03-01 01:16:39 +0000 UTCHey there! It looks like you purchased a boutique membership which does not include the flexi items :) You can choose from Boutique, Flexi, or Deluxe (which includes both tier rewards)

2025-03-01 01:14:26 +0000 UTCThought I’d give some more context to the issue I mentioned. I have tried printing the wings all the way down to .08 layer height just to confirm whether or not it was a model resolution thing. I would be happy to send you pics of them (I have A LOT as I’m preparing an interactive build station for kids at my next Con with these models) so I have multiple colors and multiple filaments as well.

2025-02-28 18:25:52 +0000 UTCHey Kek, I'm having a lot of fun with these dragons but I have a question: the resolution of the wings seems to be pretty low. Instead of a fully 3D top of the wings it seems like the model is designed to have what looks like a bunch of dots making up the veins and ribs of the wings on the flat parts that print on the plate. Was that intentional? I'm wondering if there might be an update you're working on that gives the wings more "depth" and "clarity" to their design...

2025-02-28 06:45:18 +0000 UTCWhen I print my next one should I use this new profile or use the loose joints one? I printed her at 300% and broke three pieces and had to use my old nail drill to sand each piece to go in!! I have the last large body piece printing right now but other than that she is put together!! She's awesome!

2025-02-27 15:55:53 +0000 UTCI absolutely love this dragon. Printed 100% and 160% Yes was very tight putting it together but worth it in the end.

2025-02-27 13:11:52 +0000 UTCPrinted one this past weekend (300%) in Sky blue PETG. It was a little difficult to snap together, but it went together with a little inspiration. Came out great. Thank you for the model!
